SENIOR ELECTRICAL/EMBEDDED ENGINEER

Scanogen is looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Electrical/Embedded Engineer to join our R&D team. We are a rapidly growing start-up developing a platform that will dramatically improve the diagnosis of important diseases. We need highly driven and inventive individuals.

POSITION TITLE: Senior Electrical/Embedded Engineer
LOCATION: Windsor Mill, Maryland, United States
JOB SUMMARY: Electrical and embedded software development for medical diagnostic system
JOB DUTIES:

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, and component selection.

• Develop and maintain embedded software for the designed microcontrollers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and timelines.

• Conduct thorough analysis, testing, and validation of electrical designs and software to ensure performance and reliability.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including power electronics, embedded systems, analog/digital circuit design, software development, etc.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Altium, Eagle) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).

• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, CE).

• Experience with software running in RTOS's (specifically FreeRTOS).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
